Bachelor's Button Seeds

Also known as cornflower, the bachelor's button grew as a weed in cornfields, hence its name. These easy to grow plants produce an abundance of bright, beautiful colored, long stemmed, double flowers that will bloom from early summer to fall. Excellent when massed in beds and borders, and when cut for bouquets and boutonnieres.

Planting Information:

• When and where to plant: Select sunny location and plant outdoors as soon as soil can be worked in spring. Sow again in late summer through fall in mild winter areas. For earlier blossoms start indoors 4-5 weeks before last frost. Cultivate soil and firm over seed, keeping it moist. Successive 2 week plantings will extend flowering.
  Care: Water moderately, apply food at planting. Plants often reseed themselves.
  Storage: Store seed in cool, dry place. Heat and moisture can severely reduce germination.
